Why I Built the Agency Plan (And What It Took to Get There)

The Agency plan didn't start with a pricing spreadsheet. It started with a conversation that reminded me how TCs actually work — and how the tools they use should work too.

I'll be honest with you — pricing software is not something I ever thought I'd spend a Saturday afternoon thinking about. But here I was, coffee going cold, staring at a spreadsheet trying to figure out how to make Traicee work for the people who needed it most.

And that's how the Agency plan got built.

The Conversation That Started It

A few months after I launched Traicee, I got a message from a TC who was managing files for a team of six agents. She loved what she was seeing in the platform, but she had a straightforward question: "Does this make sense for me to pay per transaction when I'm running thirty files a month?"

I sat with that for a minute. Because she was right. The math wasn't working in her favor, and I knew it. She wasn't just a solo TC grabbing a tool to help her close a file here and there — she was running a small operation. Her volume was consistent, her workload was real, and she was essentially keeping an entire team of agents organized and on track. That deserves a different conversation about price.

I thought about Tracy. The TC I named this whole thing after. She was the person who saved my first year in real estate. She worked files for multiple agents, she juggled deadlines I didn't even know existed, and she never once complained about the load. People like her are not casual users of a transaction tool. They are power users. They are the backbone. And if I built Traicee to honor that kind of work, I needed a pricing structure that honored it too.

What Volume Pricing Actually Means in the Real World

Here's what I kept coming back to: a TC or a brokerage coordinator who is running high volume doesn't have a different problem than a solo TC — they just have more of the same problem, faster. The stakes are higher because the margin for error shrinks when you're managing fifteen files at once instead of three.

So the Agency plan isn't just a discount for buying in bulk. It's a recognition that the way a TC team or a brokerage uses Traicee is fundamentally different from how an individual agent uses it. There are multiple users. There are shared files. There are situations where two people need to be in the same transaction at the same time, and neither one can be waiting on the other to log out first. Volume pricing with team functionality isn't a nice-to-have. It's the only way the tool actually works at that scale.

I also didn't want brokerages to have to make a difficult internal argument every time they wanted to bring on a new TC or expand their transaction support. If the price scales painfully with every added user, the tool becomes a budget conversation instead of a business decision. That friction kills adoption. I've watched good software die in real estate offices because nobody wanted to fight about the invoice. The Agency plan is supposed to remove that friction entirely.

What This Means If You're a TC or Running a Team

If you're a TC who handles files for more than a couple of agents, or if you work inside a brokerage where transaction coordination is a shared function, the Agency plan was built specifically with your workflow in mind. It's not a version of the individual plan with a few extra seats bolted on. It's designed from the ground up for the way teams actually operate — with shared visibility, consistent processes, and the kind of volume that makes per-transaction pricing feel punishing.

And if you're a broker or a team lead thinking about how to support your TCs with better tools, I'd just say this: the best thing you can do for your transaction coordinators is give them something that works the way they work. Not something they have to work around. Traicee's Agency plan is my attempt to get that right — and I'm still listening if it needs to get better.
